I have enjoyed reasonably good health most of my life. Yet, an
invasive, cancerous lump was found in my breast. I endured a
lumpectomy, chemotherapy and radiation over five months. At the end of
the treatment, I was a mess.... 50 lbs. overweight, bald and badly
aching in all my muscles and joints. I could not get out of a chair
without support. I had no energy. My memory was suspect and mental
clarity almost gone. The medication I was required to take kicked me
right into menopause. Since the cancer treatment was systemic, I was
told that gradually, over time, I would improve. I was feeling very
depressed.
I met my chiropractor at the Running Room in Vancouver where he was
demonstrating Trigenics Therapy. I was greatly impressed with him and
the therapy. This is what prompted my visit to him after the cancer
treatment. I just put myself in his hands. He used numerous therapies
to get the energy moving again in my body... all deceptively gentle.
After three sessions, I noticed a marked difference. The body pain was
considerably less. It was the beginning of December and I wanted to be
able to show visiting family members that I was well and doing fine. I
continued seeing my chiropractor twice a week until Christmas. I truly
enjoyed myself that holiday season as I was able to lift the children
onto my lap. I was the strong, able Auntie Marta that they remembered.
It's been a year and a half since I completed cancer treatment. I am
back working a hectic and stressful schedule, though much more
mindfully. I continue to see my chiropractor regularly for tune-ups and chiropractic adjustments. He is kind, enthusiastic and generous with
his time. I have recommended him to many friends and associates. He
is the type of person who volunteers his time in the community. His
unwavering interest in people's wellness will prompt him to continue
growing and learning.

I first met my chiropractor in the summer of 2005. A friend of mine who felt that “No-one deserves to be in pain” referred me to my chiropractor. I originally emailed my chiropractor as a way of determining what could be done. He was amazingly positive and helpful with lots of forthcoming information. By the time I had gotten in to see him I was barely able to move from pain. The Trigenics therapy that was utilized helped me regain motion and some time without such intense pain. These steps were the start of a road to rehabilitation that has improved my mental, emotional and physical state.
The greatest thing my chiropractor did was to help me to prepare for surgery. The amount of time we put into making sure that I was in a strong and stable position pre surgery was a major part of the success of the surgery and my ability to recover from it quickly. Without my chiropractor's help I wouldn't be able to do half the things I have been able to start doing in recent months.
